I don’t need a high end MacBook as I use the air for portability and a backup in case the mini goes.Play premium editions of select new-release games days before they launch. I’d rather upgrade my MacBook and keep the house “clean”. I do realize that quality will have to be turned down but this is all fine as I said I don’t expect high quality with this solution. My question is what would be the oldest MacBook that would give decent performance. My thought was if my mini can’t play it to sell my MacBook Air and buy a newer MacBook that could handle it We have other games that I’ve purchased for the Mac eg The Sims 4 that run fine. Now I’m assuming that she will play this game for a while and get bored of it. Besides, if I’ve read right it won’t work anyway as it only has HD 4000 graphics. But I have been having trouble partitioning my drive so haven’t even able to try. I was going to try and run boot camp on the mini to see if it would be playable. I currently have a MacBook Air 2011 and a Mac Mini 2012 i7 with 16GB RAM amd 500GB SSD.
In my house that’s blasphemy as we are Mac only. Now I have a PS 4 but she has her heart set on the PC version. My daughter would like to play The PC version of GTA V mainly to use the mods. I’m resurrecting this thread Hoping to get a little advice.
